Education is a fundamental pillar of a progressive and equitable society, and access to quality education remains essential for individual empowerment and social development. At Care Village Foundation, education, particularly the education of the girl child, is a core area of intervention. Despite significant progress, many communities in India continue to face barriers to education due to deep-rooted social norms and economic constraints.

Care Village Foundation works at the grassroots level by engaging directly with families and local communities to address these challenges. The Foundation conducts awareness campaigns, community meetings, and counselling sessions to sensitize parents on the importance of girls' education, preventing female infanticide, and investing in children's long-term development. These initiatives aim to challenge societal mindsets and promote sustained school enrolment and retention, especially among girls.

The Foundation actively supports the Government of India's Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao initiative and contributes to its objectives by facilitating dialogue between parents, schools, and community stakeholders. It also implements non-formal education programmes for children who are out of school or at risk of dropping out, ensuring continuity of learning in underserved communities.

Further, the Foundation assists families in securing school admissions under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act), enabling children from disadvantaged backgrounds to access formal education. Through these interventions, Care Village Foundation strives to promote inclusive education, reduce educational disparities, and create sustainable learning opportunities that empower children and strengthen communities.

Health is a fundamental component of social development, and access to quality healthcare is essential for improving the well-being of individuals and communities. Recognizing this, Care Village Foundation undertakes a range of health initiatives aimed at promoting preventive healthcare, awareness, and healthy living, particularly among underserved and marginalized populations.

The Foundation organizes free health camps, medical advisory sessions, awareness programmes, and health-related workshops in collaboration with hospitals, healthcare professionals, and partner organizations. These initiatives focus on improving access to healthcare services while educating communities about disease prevention, nutrition, hygiene, sanitation, and healthy lifestyle practices.

Care Village Foundation also actively supports tuberculosis (TB) awareness and eradication efforts by collaborating with organizations such as the Delhi Tuberculosis Association to conduct awareness campaigns, screenings, and community outreach programmes. Personal hygiene and sanitation awareness are integrated into all health interventions, recognizing their critical role in preventing disease and improving public health.

Through sustained grassroots engagement, including yoga sessions and preventive health initiatives, the Foundation continues to strengthen community health outcomes and promote healthier, more informed communities.

Awareness That Creates Change

Care Village Foundation is committed to promoting access to justice by providing legal awareness, legal aid, and counselling services to marginalized and vulnerable communities. Recognizing that many individuals face barriers in enforcing their legal rights due to economic and social disadvantages, the Foundation works to make legal information and support more accessible through community-based interventions.

The Foundation maintains a long-standing association with the Delhi Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and regularly organizes legal awareness programmes, legal aid camps, and counselling sessions on a wide range of legal and social issues. These initiatives are conducted across multiple areas of Delhi, with a particular focus on West Delhi, and serve migrant workers, women, youth, school and college students, senior citizens, and other disadvantaged groups.

Working at the grassroots level, Care Village Foundation helps identify, address, and resolve legal concerns by facilitating access to practising lawyers, legal experts, and judicial authorities in collaboration with the Delhi Legal Services Authority. The Foundation also promotes Lok Adalats by encouraging amicable dispute resolution through counselling, dialogue, and community participation, enabling timely, cost-effective, and consensual justice while strengthening legal awareness and community empowerment.

Building Confident Young People

Care Village Foundation, in association with the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, actively works towards youth empowerment and holistic development. The Foundation promotes leadership, social responsibility, life skills, and active community participation among young people through awareness programmes, workshops, training sessions, and community-based initiatives.

These programmes are conducted in schools, colleges, parks, and community spaces, independently as well as in partnership with government and private organizations. The initiatives are designed to build confidence, strengthen decision-making abilities, develop employability skills, and encourage constructive engagement among youth.

By empowering young people to become responsible and active citizens, Care Village Foundation contributes to nation-building efforts and supports the development of future leaders who can drive positive social change within their communities.
